UPTIK has been founded by Ulrich Pingel as an innovation and technology company. UPTIK serves inspection technology, process analysis and system developement of
- Flat and bent glass, from float- to automotive glass
- Tire inspection and tread treating

History

Responsible for inspection technology and system developement within R&D at Flachglas Ag, (now NSG) Ulrich Pingel developed several measurement and inspection technologies for glass whoch were implemented into different production processes.
At a spin-off Ulrich founded INNOMESS GmbH which concentrated on inspection technologies for flat and bent glass like transmitted and reflected distortion of flat and bent glass, defect detection and form measurement. INNOMESS GmbH was aquired by ISRA Vision AG which continued  the technologies at Herten very successfully.

Ulrich Pingel founded VENTECH GmbH to measure rire pressure and tread depth just by passing over a sensor plate. This sensational technology was now aquired by a large tire manufacturer.

Profession

- Process analysis: Modern processes are complex and continous. An external view compared with measurement expertise can lead to significant process and      product improvements.
- Process feedback: Process management needs an information of product quality and quantity. Integrating inspection and measurement expertise can creat a      feedback and control logic for oprtaor and process management
- Inspection technology: Applying modern inspection technology needs back-up know-how. Here some examples:
   - How can I measure glass distortion, what is the reason for the measured deviation and what can I do to correct
   - How to apply an automatic inspection system into the production line
   - What are the optical basics of deflection angle, distortion, radius and focus? How do they fit to automotive requirements?

   - How to measure tire conditions automatically, what are the strengths and weaknesses, which technology is the right one?
   - How to improve fleet performance
